What better way to kick start my blog, than by introducing myself so, "Let's get close, closer than close, closer than you ever could imagine us..." Lol. It seems I have already given away my age, eeeek!
As you would have gathered by the title of my blog, my name is Liesl Leonard. I am a 32 year old single mom, who was born and currently resides in Cape Town, South Africa. Outside of motherhood, I work as a researcher within an eLearning unit at a local university and; I am pursuing a PhD in Child and Family Studies part-time. I have a strong, deep love for God and I also love people and value relationships.
A firm believer in self-care, I acknowledge that motherhood, working, studying and balancing all the relationships in one's life can often become overwhelming and lead to burn-out. As a result, I ensure I make time for myself. 'Me time' consists of reflection, walking, journaling, and rest; I also spoil myself to the occasional bouquet of flowers or pair of earrings.
I would consider myself naturally creative, although I will admit, I haven't been putting my creativity into practice for quite some time... And that ladies and gentleman is why I started this blog. This will be a space in which my creativity (in all forms) will finally have a platform. You can expect lifestyle content related to style, food, parenting and self-care as well as, occasional reviews. Feel free to comment or make suggestions at any point along this journey... I look forward to interacting with you!
